Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club, (SVCC) situated on nine beautiful acres. Originally conceived by William Levitt to be the social center of the Strathmore Vanderbilt development, it is a unique concept dating back to 1939. It offered the residents a 100 foot swimming pool, 3 clay tennis courts and a beautiful clubhouse. Available for film production.

Today, the Club features include the addition of two all-weather hard tennis courts, a basketball court, a kiddy pool and a children’s playground. Both pools are heated. SVCC continues to be the North Shore’s premiere family oriented club, affording parents, grandparents and children alike the opportunity to enjoy the sprawling grounds, the sports and recreational facilities, as well as a plethora of activities available for the entire family. Our junior tennis program, summer swim team, green and white races and a summer sport program continue to grow and have now become an attraction for new members and a wonderful experience for the current membership.

SVCC offers many options for both member and non-member sponsored functions. Our impressive culinary team provides our membership with delectable dining that can be experienced in several venues including our dining rooms, terrace room and a private President’s dining room. Weather permitting, our members and guests enjoy a comfortable dining atmosphere at our poolside patios, including a private outdoor back patio.

The Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club has opened membership to those not residing in the Strathmore Vanderbilt community since the 1970’s, attracting a broader audience . Our winning combination – a beautiful facility, a wonderful membership and a terrific staff.

With a property history that dates to the mid-1800s, the club in Manhasset, Long Island, N.Y. is working to blend traditions of the past with the wants and needs of today’s younger generation, while not forgetting older members. The club’s historic building has been renovated over the years, though some of the window treatments, light fixtures, the library and the mirrored ceiling in the Marie Antoinette dining room have remained untouched.
