American Bistro Restaurant and Bar is located on Washington ave. in Nutley NJ. Inside contains a long bar down one side of the restaurant approximately measuring 28 feet by 1 foot. At the end of the bar is a server station with to monitors to place orders, shelves with glasses, utensil drawers, cappuccino and coffee machines, and a microwave. There is a hostess desk before entering the dining room which is carpeted. The dining room is 50 feet deep by 13 feet wide, fits about 17 tables. The bar area also accommodates 3-4 tables depending on set up. The building has two large windows in the front, one in the bar area and one in the dining room. The front door enters into the bar side of the restaurant but there is also a door on the dining room side accessible to the sidewalk. The property has its own parking lot.

There are two handicap accessible bathrooms at the end of the dining room. One Womens, one Mens.
Beyond the bathrooms is the entrance to the service kitchen. Full 3 compartment sink with a dish machine. Along the one wall is 2 six burner stoves with 2 ovens underneath. One grill top with a salemander above it.

Next to the grill is two fryers and a prep table. At the end is a walking fridge with a walkin freezer attached. Opposite the stove are 3 lowboy fridges with counters on top for cooking and plating dishes. In the service window there is a cold side as well as a hot side with heat lamps. Continuing into the prep kitchen is a large metal table. The prep kitchen contains three large prep tables down the center of the room. One entire wall is lined with stoves and ovens. the opposite wall has another 3 compartment sink, shelves with pots/pans/etc. another marble prep table and a second walk in fridge. Next to the walk in fridge is a large dry storage area, then the walkin freezer. The prep kitchen contains one employee bathroom.
There is a full basement under the dining room and bar side of the restaurant used for storage, laundry, ice machines, and an office.
